Ankit Arora is a filmmaker based in Mumbai, with over 16 years of experience in the media entertainment industry.

Raised in the ‘City of Joy’ Kolkata, Ankit completed his film studies from St. Xavier’s College, and moved to Mumbai, where he directed his debut non fiction show at the age of 22 in 2007. 

​

Since then, he has directed various long form non fiction shows, spanning genres of fashion, lifestyle, documentaries, reality and sports, which have been shot across the globe. He has also handled renowned international reality formats and game shows.

Over the years Ankit has created content for leading networks like Viacom18, Zee Network, Sony, Star Network, NDTV, National Geographic, TV18 and international broadcasters/ OTT platforms such as Zee International, AXN (Los Angeles and Asia) and Hotstar US/UK.

Having worked for both production houses and a broadcaster, Ankit brings an overall perspective of content, its scalability and viability. A firm believer in the time and again proven cliché ‘Content is King/ Queen’, Ankit’s vision of a product, direction and narration adapts to the need of varied audiences.

Currently, Ankit is exploring transmedia storytelling as a tool to bring about social change.
